So so funny

Set on the American/Canadian border, it revolves around Brandan Vandercool, a huge man who is more interested in counting how many birds he hears each day than in what is happening in the world around him. That he is dyslexic and recently employed by as a Border Patrol agent just adds to his quirkiness. His ability to catch people smuggling everything from weed through to people is unmatched leading some to think that he must be getting information from an insider. It is the characters though that really stuck with me through the novel and had me laughing out loud. Brandan is great, but so too are the other people that live along the ditch. It’s a brilliant read and I only wish that I had put it off a bit longer so that I could have the enjoyment of reading it for the first time in the future.
