Description
This book tells the history of the Elves in Middle-earth, from their creation by the gods all the way until the last of the Elves left Middle-earth on Frodo’s ship. At the centre of the story is the theft of the Silmarils, sacred Elven jewels stolen by Morgoth, the first Dark Lord. The Elf Fëanor, who created the jewels, and his seven sons swear an oath not to rest until they have won the jewels back.
And so begins a war that will last millennia, and bring much grief and sorrow to Elves, Men and Dwarves. If you are a fan of the more darker and tragic aspects of The Lord of the Rings, then this is the book for you. It is a serious read, but rewarding for those who stick with it until the end or even read it multiple times. It’s a more detailed and complete mythology than those possessed by most countries.
