Another thriller starring the wonderful Alex Delaware, child psychologist and moonlighting consultant to Milo Sturgis from LAPD on his trickier cases. A young woman’s body is found in a staff toilet at a wedding. It’s a themed wedding: ‘saints and sinners’ and the woman an unknown guest to both the bride and groom. There are no witnesses, no suspects and very few clues. Alex and Milo must rely on their brilliance to follow up on any leads they can find. This is book #34 from Kellerman, although fortunately it’s not necessary to have read any previous titles to enjoy this one. His thrillers are intelligent and highly enjoyable and Alex Delaware as a character has a huge fan base. The dialogue between him and Milo is amusing, and the police procedure on a murder well-researched and detailed. Alex and his girlfriend, Robyn, together for years and, as other fans may agree, it’s always fun to get an update of their relationship and their beloved dog, Blanche.
