We were thrilled to host Chase Rhys - celebrated author of Kinnes - for the launch of their latest book, Misfit, at our Longbeach branch. The evening was filled with laughter, tears, and the warmth and support of those who joined.

We were spoilt with chapter readings - indulging in the moments of strength and growth throughout Chase’s life, as if we were there to live it with them. They're truly a passionate and captivating storyteller!

There’s a little misfit in all of us: at some point in our lives we've all felt like we didn’t quite fit in. Therein lies our individuality - our beauty.

Misfit was written to open doors of acceptance for those who are learning to love themselves, for those learning to accept personalities and people who live beyond the “norm”. “Ons beweeg vorentoe”, as Chase would say.
