Zack Pepper is afraid of ghosts. He thinks this is rational for anyone living in Shadyside because lots of people in town have seen strange things. However, to make things worse, when Zack discovers his teacher, Miss Gaunt, is a ghost, he can't convince his friends that they too are in danger.
