André Kruger’s journey spans an illustrious military career and a life of service and leadership. Educated at Pretoria Boys High School, he rose through the ranks of the Infantry, commanding at platoon, company and unit level, and played a key role in the development of mechanised infantry during early operations in Southern Angola.

He later served as Chief Instructor at the SA Army College and as a staff officer at Army Headquarters, contributing to the transformation of the South African Defence Force in the 1990s. After retirement, André worked in the international defence industry before settling on the West Coast, where he remained active in business, local government and environmental conservation.
